PREMATURE EJACULATION: a problem that often!

Premature ejaculation is the most common sexual dysfunction in men with serious effects on the quality of life for both: the patient and partner. According to some studies affects between 20% and 30% of men, this numbers are probably underestimated because men often do not accept the fact of having this problem and do not go to the urologist.
The cause is unknown, is thought to include neurobiological components and / or psychological. It occurs in all ages and can be a primary condition (present from the onset of sexual activity) or secondary (appearing after normal sexual activity).
There are several definitions of premature ejaculation, all of them have common factors: short interval between ejaculation and penetration, little or no control over ejaculation, and psychological consequences.
Due to the multiple possible causes of premature ejaculation, treatment options ranging from psychotherapy to topical and oral drug therapy, ie treatment should be multidisciplinary.
In the latest issue of the journal Urology, a study using the drug "tramadol" a specific dose for the treatment of primary premature ejaculation, obtaining excellent results with respect
to time of ejaculation, ejaculatory control and sexual satisfaction. It has some limitations, the main: small number of patients studied.
There are already studies that evaluate this drug with good results, but with many biases, this
latest work is probably the best evidence that we could use tramadol.
